Macau Science and Technology Development Fund and Polytechnic University Delegation Visit PKUHSC

  On January 24, 2024, a delegation led by Xie Yongqiang, Chairman of the Administrative Committee of the Macau Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT), and Lin Cantang, Acting Dean of the School of Applied Sciences at Macau Polytechnic University (MPU), visited Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC). Qiao Jie, Executive Vice President of PKU and President of PKUHSC, met with the delegation.

  

  Qiao Jie stated that the “Nursing Academy” jointly established by PKUHSC and MPU is progressing smoothly and has achieved fruitful results. Based on this, the “PKUHSC - MPU Joint AI Health Lab” was set up to expand cooperation. PKUHSC is willing to continue working hand in hand with MPU and other Macau universities to jointly contribute to enhancing the well-being of Macau compatriots, promoting the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the development of Macau's health industry.

  

  Xie Yongqiang expressed his appreciation to PKUHSC for their warm reception and made a brief account about FDCT, focusing especially on its purpose and objectives, as well as the important role of FDCT in technological innovation and industrial development in Macau.

  

  The “PKUHSC - MPU Nursing Academy” was jointly established by PKUHSC and MPU on June 8, 2021. In the past three years, Nursing Academy has seen a continuous increase in enrollment, with 303 students at school currently; With the adoption of the “3-year Macau+1-year Beijing” nursing talent training model, the first batch of Nursing Academy students will study and live in PKUHSC from March 1 to October 31, 2024.
