The 2019 International Forum on Quality and Safety in Health Care, cohosted by the British Medical Journal (BMJ) Publishing Group and America Institute for Healthcare Improvement, was held at Glasgow, Scotland from March 26 through 29. Invited by the BMJ Publishing Group, PKU Third Hospital representatives from the National Center for Healthcare Quality Management and Control for obstetrics and rehabilitation medicine.

　　Professor Zhao Yangyu and Wei Yuan, chief physician from the Department of Obstetrics, and Liu Nan, associate chief physician from the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine made exchanges with international peers in healthcare about the latest ideas and practices in the management of quality and safety in healthcare. Meanwhile, they held a discussion with Mr. Peter Ashman, CEO of the BMJ Publishing Group, and Ms Fiona Godlee, Editor-in-Chief of the BMJ. Both parties expressed the intention of further cooperation in the field of healthcare quality and patient safety.
