SPH Researchers Deliver Progress Report on China’s Effort to Eliminate Hepatitis B by 2030

  

  

  A research group led by Prof. Liu Min of Peking University School of Public Health recently published a progress report on China’s effort to eliminate Hepatitis B by 2030. The report titled “Countdown to 2030: eliminating hepatitis B disease, China” appeared on Bulletin of the World Health Organization.

  The group proceeded from the Global Health Sector Strategies (GHSS) of WHO and the core indicators in the monitoring and evaluation framework for GHSS, and analyzed the progress, gap and challenges of China in vaccination, prevention of mother-to-child transmission, blood safety, injection safety, harm reduction, diagnosis and treatment. The report also identified areas of priority for action and advised on the pathway toward the 2030 elimination goal.
