In May 25, the 33^rd Annual Meeting of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS) revealed the results from its Postgraduate Symposium–Master Cup, where Dr. Sun Zewen, a young thoracic surgeon from Peking University People’s Hospital, together with partners from Japan and South Korea in Team Asia, triumphed over American and European competitors and won the cup.

　　As the most influential professional competition in the field of thoracic surgery in the world, ESTS Master Cup not only represents the highest competitive stage for young doctors, but also a comprehensive test of professional knowledge, clinical experience, comprehensive ability and on-the-spot reaction. Team Asia, led by Prof. Chen Chang, impressed the judges and the audience with their solid professional knowledge, superb clinical skills, accurate analysis and treatment of complex cases, and outstanding language skills.
