A Delegation from Juntendo University Visits Peking University Health Science Center

  From March 19th to 21st, 2025, in order to further promote in-depth exchanges between Juntendo University and Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC) in such fields as medical research and medical services, a delegation from Juntendo University visited PKUHSC and its four affiliated hospitals. The delegation included Rie Ueki and Nobuto Shibata, deputy directors of the Juntendo Tokyo Koto Elderly Medical Center affiliated to the School of Medicine of Juntendo University; Atsumasa Otake, deputy head (executive head) of the Medical Affairs Department and the deputy head of the Hospital Laws and Regulations Inspection Department; Hiroyuki Ase, head of the Rehabilitation Department; Yumiko Sakuragi, nursing director of the Nursing Department; Yuji Nishizaki , professor of Medical Education in the Graduate School of Juntendo University; Satoru Takasaki, head of the International Exchange Center; and Nene Shiba, director of the International Exchange Center.

  

  During the visit to Peking University First Hospital (PKUFH), experts from both sides had a comprehensive and detailed discussion on aspects such as the current situation of medical services, progress in academic research and talent cultivation.

  

  At Peking University People's Hospital (PKUPH), experts from both sides shared information regarding fields such as geriatric diseases, skin diseases and rehabilitation, and exchanged views on the possibilities of future cooperation.

  

  At Peking University Third Hospital (PKUTH), the attending leaders and experts jointly envisioned the prospects for future cooperation in fields such as rehabilitation medicine and geriatrics.

  

  At Peking University Sixth Hospital (PKUSH), the attending leaders and experts focused on the field of geriatric mental health and carried out in-depth exchanges. Both sides expressed their hope that the two universities could initiate practical cooperation in aspects such as Alzheimer's disease and neurology in the future, so as to contribute to the active response to the aging of the population.

  

  During the visit, Professor Yuji Nishizaki had in-depth exchanges with the relevant responsible persons of PKUHSC and its affiliated hospitals specifically on the establishment of a short-term hospital management training course by Juntendo University. The two sides exchanged views on key issues such as the target trainees, curriculum design, and training objectives. Both sides hope that through this cooperation, they can further enhance the professional qualities and management capabilities of hospital administrators, providing strong support for the sustainable development of medical institutions.
