On the morning of March 11, 2025, a delegation from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the cancer specialist affiliate of Harvard Medical School, visited Peking University People’s Hospital (PKUPH). Present at the meeting were Dr. Jeffrey A. Meyerhardt, Chief Clinical Research Officer, Mr. David Read, Vice Dean of Department of Medical Oncology, Ms Katya Losk, Senior Executive of International Strategic Planning (ISP), Ms Alice Zheng, Senior Manager of ISP, Ms Kara Hur, Program Manager of ISP, Wang Tianbing, Vice President of PKUPH, and representatives from the departments of thoracic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, hematology, gastrointestinal surgery, nursing, human resources, education and foreign cooperation office.

　　At the meeting, representatives from both sides shared the characteristics of their respective medical and scientific research achievements. The foreign delegates showed strong interest in the specialty setting of PKUPH. During the exchange, the foreign guests introduced the medical training and treatment services provided by the Institute for the world and elaborated on the existing training programs and methods as well as the development of international diagnosis and treatment services. PKUPH representatives from the departments of nursing and education expressed their expectations for cooperation, and the two sides held a heated discussion on this. The foreign guests said that PKUPH researchers and clinicians were very welcome to visit, study, and exchange, and they also hoped to jointly provide better services to patients through new ways such as remote consultation.

　　This exchange has laid an important foundation for the cooperation between the two sides in the fields of medical care, teaching and scientific research, and is expected to open a new chapter of joint progress.
