PKUSHH Team of Narrative Medicine Attends Medical and Health Humanities Conference in Doha
The research group of narrative medicine at Peking University School of Health Humanities (PKUSHH) traveled to Doha for the 3rd International Conference on Medical and Health Humanities: Global Perspectives 2025 hosted by Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar on February 7-8. The group was led by Prof. Guo Liping, Dean of the school. The conference gathered researchers, educationalists, students and practitioners from all over the world to share best practices in humanities training at medical schools, aiming at producing doctors capable of humanistic care.
During the conference, Prof. Guo Chaired the parallel session on Health and Medical Humanities in China, where she reviewed the evolvement of these two concepts and how they had been practiced in the Chinese context. All members of her group spoke during the session.
In attending the conference, the PKUSHH team kept abreast of the latest development in medical and health humanities and consolidated its touch with international peers.
