Dutch Public Health Experts Visit Emergency Medicine at PKU Third Hospital
The department of emergency medicine of Peking University Third Hospital hosted a visit of eight public health experts from the Netherlands in October 24, among whom were Dr. Thomas Krafft, co-chair of the European Academic Global Health Alliance (EAGHA) and chair of Global Health Europe, and Dr. Liselotte van Asten, senior expert at the RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment.
The visiting experts heard from Prof. Ma Qingbian, chief of the emergency department, on care, research and training at the department, and from Dr. Zheng Kang, deputy director of the ambulance services, on the deployment, flowchart and operation of pre-hospital care. They spoke highly of the jobs done at the department and talked with their local peers about system design and resources allocation.
The visit enhanced their mutual understanding and laid a good foundation for further exchange.
