PKU Third Hospital Attends the 2024 Conference of the Association for Medical Education in Europe
From August 24 to 28, 2024, the 2024 International Annual Conference of the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) was held in Basel, Switzerland. A group of five people led by Shen Ning, vice president of Peking University Third Hospital (PKUTH), went to Switzerland and attended the conference, and many teachers participated online.
This annual conference provides a good communication opportunity and platform for medical education scholars and managers from all over the world. Wang Weimin, vice president of Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC), Shen Ning, vice president of PKUTH, Director Han Jiangli and Deputy Director Wang Yan of the Education Department, and other experts and professors held a roundtable meeting with the Saudi teaching team on topics concerning medical education such as postgraduate education.
AMEE is an academic organization of medical education with the greatest global influence. The alliance members cover doctors, nurses, teachers, researchers, and managers from medical schools, universities, and research institutions in more than 110 countries around the world. This annual conference received more than 4,400 abstract submissions from medical education peers from 92 countries. The abstracts of papers from eight teachers of PKUTH were accepted by the AMEE 2024 annual conference. More than 3,000 representatives from 108 countries around the world attended the conference on site, and more than 600 representatives participated online.
