Academician Qiao Jie Leads a delegation to Hong Kong
From May 28th to 29th, 2024, Academician Qiao Jie, Executive Vice President of Peking University and President of Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC), led a delegation to Hong Kong.
Liu Zexing Meets with Qiao Jie
At Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong (HKU), Dean Professor Liu Zexing, Vice Dean Professor Xie Weicai, Vice Dean Professor Liang Jiajie, Vice Dean Professor Kong Fanyi, and Vice Dean Dr. Huang Yinger warmly received the delegation. Qiao Jie expressed her hope that both sides will continue to make efforts in the fields of medical talent cultivation and scientific research cooperation in the future, and jointly carry out various tasks including making major scientific research accomplishments, conducting dual recruitment of scientific researchers, and cultivating postgraduate students.
Zheng Guangting Meets with Qiao Jie's Delegation
At the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Qiao Jie met with Professor Zheng Guangting and Professor Wang Yang, Vice Presidents of HKUST, and Professor Xie Ting, Director of the Department of Life Sciences. During the meeting, both sides agreed that the two schools should focus their cooperation on the cultivation of young scientific and technological talents and the technological innovation. In the future, they should provide more opportunities for young people to participate in important scientific and technological missions, and help them gradually grow into knowledgeable and powerful strategic scientists.
Lin Zhexuan Meets with the Delegation
During the meeting with Lin Zhexuan, member of the Healthcare Sector of the Hong Kong Legislative Council, Qiao Jie expressed special gratitude to Lin for his strong support in establishing the "Hong Kong Mainland Medical Student Integration Project", which will play an important leading and exemplary role in promoting medical student exchanges between Hong Kong and mainland China.
During the visit, Qiao Jie also held an exchange symposium with alumni representatives in Hong Kong.
