The latest QS World University Rankings were released on April 10, 2024. Medical subjects of Peking University saw a remarkable performance, with 3 out of 5 medical subjects rising in the ranking.

　　2023-2024 QS World University Rankings by Subject: Peking University—Medicine, Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Anatomy and Physiology.

　　Recent years have seen a strong performance of PKU’s Medicine since its first breakthrough into the global top 50 in 2020. Its latest ranking in 2024 rose to 36^th. In the subject of Medicine, PKU is the only Chinese mainland university to enter the world’s top 50. PKU’s QS Ranking of Pharmacy and Pharmacology has been ranking first in mainland China for many years in a row, with the latest world’s 23^rd in 2024, a slight rise from last year. PKU ranked 35^th in Anatomy and Physiology, which is a great elevation from the 50^th in 2023.

　　We do not emphasize the rankings, but we respect its existence, for the world’s multi-dimensional third-party evaluation perspective can provide a certain reference for disciplinary analysis positioning and construction layout. The year of 2024 is PKU’s Year of Discipline Quality. The construction of medical disciplines in PKU will focus on the world, measure against the international benchmark, analyze the current situation, clarify the pathways, and constantly “strengthen the foundation, emphasize the intersection, climb the peak, and rush to the top,” accelerate the high-quality construction of disciplines, and continue to enhance the international influence of disciplines.
