On April 19, 2024, Carl Schwarz, Global Senior Vice President of the Medical Department of Elsevier Publishing Group, visited Peking University Health Science Center. A meeting was held for the delegation and leaders and experts from PKUHSC on the theme “promoting the international influence of PKU medical disciplines.”

　　Carl Schwarz said that as one of the top medical schools in China, PKUHSC enjoys a high academic reputation and is one of Elsevier’s most important and closest partners in the field of medicine. He is very much looking forward to continuing to expand more cooperation with PKUHSC to jointly promote global health and well-being.

　　During the meeting, the participants had a positive and fruitful discussion focusing on how to better support the high-quality academic output of PKUHSC academic staff by way of high-quality publication of medical scientific research, the pathways for academic staff to serve as reviewers and editorial board members in important international academic journals, the improvement of international influence of China’s medical disciplines, and the prospects for future cooperation between the two sides.
