On the morning of March 7, 2024, accompanied by Zicai Chair Professor Wang Wan from PKU School of Economics, Mr. Shigenobu Sakashita, Chairman of the Japan China Friendship Inheritance and Development Association (JCFIDA), led a delegation to Peking University Third Hospital (PKUTH). Vice President Tang Yida, leaders of Cardiovascular Medicine, Endocrinology, Clinical Drug Trial Institution, General Party Committee Office, and General Administration Office of PKUTH, attended the symposium.

　　Vice President Tang Yida extended warm welcome to Mr. Shigenobu Sakashita and his delegation. In October 2018, Mr. Sakashita, along with former Japanese Prime Minister Mr. Hatoyama and others, established the "Japan China Friendship Inheritance and Development Association" (JCFIDA) and served as its chairman, providing a high-quality cooperation platform for enterprises from both China and Japan, and building a bridge of friendship for people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

　　Mr. Sakashita said that this visit aims to explore cooperation between the two countries in new drug research and development, clinical trials and promotion, and jointly facilitate collaborative research on intractable and rare diseases, and enable cutting-edge medical research results and innovative drugs to reach patients earlier, so as to bring benefits to the health of people around the world.
