PKUFH and Macau CHCSJ Hold the First Joint Internal Medicine Grand Round
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Macau's return to China. On the afternoon of February 23rd, Peking University First Hospital (PKUFH) and Macau Centro Hospitalar Conde de São Januário (CHCSJ) conducted their first joint internal medicine grand round. The opening ceremony of the event was held in Beijing and Macau at the same time, both online and offline. The joint grand round aims to boost cooperation in various fields such as academic exchanges, remote healthcare, talent cultivation, and case referral through remote technology, so as to jointly promote the development of national health.
Jiang Hui, Secretary of the PKUFH Party Committee, Yang Li, Vice President of PKUFH, Li Haichao, Director of Internal Medicine, Liu Gang and Hong Tao, Deputy Directors of Internal Medicine, and directors from various sub-departments of internal medicine of PKUFH, attended the launching ceremony. At the venue of Macau CHCSJ, Chief of the Macau Health Bureau, Luo Yilong, President of CHCSJ, Guo Changyu, directors from the sub-departments of Internal Medicine of CHCSJ, and a team of experts, attended the ceremony.
During the grand round, PKUFH reported a case of kidney disease in the geriatric department, analyzing in detail the diagnosis and treatment process, treatment effectiveness, postoperative follow-up, and sharing experiences from the perspectives of refractory hypertension, renal artery stenosis, and nephrology; CHCSJ introduced a rare case of kidney disease as well, and the expert teams from both sides conducted clinical analysis, interpreted relevant guidelines, and updated the research progress in the diagnosis and treatment of the case. The exchange benefited both sides greatly.
