On February 29, 2024, China Union of Life Science Societies (CULSS) announced the "Top 10 Advances in Life Sciences in China" for the year 2023. The research finding--- "Microbial-host-isozyme analyses reveal microbial DPP4 as a potential antidiabetic target ", of the PKUHSC Professor Jiang Changtao and Academician Qiao Jie’s team was successfully selected.

　　This selection involves 55 projects recommended by 23 national first-level societies. The projects were divided into knowledge innovation and technology innovation categories, covering such fields as basic life sciences, biotechnology, and clinical medicine. After being selected by leading experts in the fields of basic life sciences, biotechnology, and clinical medicine (including 32 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering), and reviewed by the Presidium of CULSS, 6 knowledge innovation projects and 4 technology innovation projects were finally selected. The selected projects for this year are all oriented towards the forefront of life sciences, people's lives and health, aiming at addressing hot issues, and with outstanding originality and great social significance.
