A new series of PKU Medicine open lectures have been rolled out, coinciding with the start of the 28^th national awareness campaign week on cancer. The new series, devoted exclusively to cancer, were coproduced by the PKU and PKUHSC Publicity Departments, Beijing Cancer Hospital and the PKU Media Center.

　　The weekly series will feature 13 renowned lecturers, including Prof. Zhu Jun and Prof. Ji Jiafu, Party Secretary and President of Beijing Cancer Hospital. Nevertheless, the lectures will be carried out in a way that is close to the general public, responding to their concerns on a wide range of topics, such as prevention, diagnosis and treatment of various types of cancer (gastrointestinal cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, melanoma, hepato-pancreato-biliary cancer, and breast cancer), psychological adjustment, application of traditional Chinese medicine, and minimally invasive surgeries.
