Three Textbooks Edited by Teachers from Nursing School Win National Textbook Construction Award

　　The National Textbook Committee recently organized the selection of First National Textbook Construction Award. It is reported that this is the highest award in the textbook field. After the process of application by Peking University School of Nursing, recommendation by PKU Health Science Center’s Offices of Education and of Continuing Education, and evaluation by the National Excellent Textbook Evaluation Committee, Health Evaluation (4^th edition) edited by Associate Professor Sun Yumei and published by People’s Medical Publishing House, and Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing (6^th edition) edited by Professor Lu Hong and published by People’s Medical Publishing House won the second prize of National Excellent Textbook (for higher education). Fundamentals of Nursing edited by Professor Shang Shaomei and published by Open University of China Press won the second prize of National Excellent Textbook (for vocational education and continuing education).

　　This award winning brings together the hard work of chief editors and the editing teams, demonstrates the strong support and help that PKU, PKUHSC, and Offices of Education and of Continuing Education have provided for nursing sciences, and underscores PKU nursing’s academic position and leading role in the national field of nursing. It is also a reflection of PKU Nursing School’s achievements in serving the national strategies and economic and social development, while keeping up with the international academic frontier and the pace of development of the times.
