From 8:00 to 17:00 on September 18, 2021, in order to actively respond to the call of the national large-scale free consulting week of " Action to serve people’s health" of the National Health Commission, PKU Third Hospital (PKUTH) held an online free consulting through its online hospital. Led by academician Qiao Jie, executive vice president of PKU, president of PKU Health Science Center (PKUHSC) and president of PKUTH, a total of 210 doctors from 33 departments of the hospital participated in the online free consulting work. Of all the participating doctors, there were 40 chief physicians, accounting for 19.05%, 85 associate chief physicians, accounting for 40.48%, and 85 attending physicians, accounting for 40.48%. They provided free consultation to more than 3,500 patients, who thought highly of their services.

　　Online consulting, as a new type of medical service, not only helps medical staff to expand the channels of doctor-patient communication under the situation of regular epidemic prevention and control, but also continuously improves the convenience and safety of the patient’s visits. PKUTH Online Hospital has begun a new journey to comprehensively deepen its Internet application. Based on the "patient-centered" service concept, the hospital will continue to explore new “Internet plus medical care” mode and strive to provide convenient and friendly online medical consulting for a wide range of patients.
