PUHSC Delegation Visits Universities in Germany and Sweden

  A delegation of Peking University Health Science Center led by its president Prof. Zhan Qimin visited Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Germany and Karolinska Institute in Sweden between September 25 and 28.

  At the TUM, President Zhan and colleagues were received by TUM president Prof. Wolfgang Herrmann and dean of the TUM School of Medicine Prof. Peter Henningsen. The two sides high recognized the success of their model for bilateral cooperation, and decided to inaugurate a joint key laboratory later that month. After the meeting, President Zhan and his German counterpart signed a letter of intent for further cooperation in joint research and human exchanges.

  During his second leg of the trip, President Zhan met with Prof. Karin Dahlman-Wright, Vice-Rector of the Karolinska Institute. Discussions between the two sides covered a wide range of topics, including short-term exchange program, joint research (in particular in cancer), and a new round of summer school.
