The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) held its 65^th Global Surgical Conference & Expo in March 24-28, and Peking University Third Hospital (PUTH) sent its nursing team to this event. This year’s event was themed “Embrace Action: Mind, Body & Spirit” and attended by over 4000 perioperative nurses from 15 countries.

　　The PUTH delegation was headed by Vice Director Guo Li of the Nursing Department, who gave a plenary speech on China’s guidelines for nursing practice in operating room. During the event, four papers from China were presented: two in parallel sessions and two in the poster session.

　　During their stay at New Orleans where the event was held, the delegates met with the AORN Board of Directors, who highly recognized China’s progress in perioperative management.
