Peking University Third Hospital Hosts Seminar on Graduate Program of Rehabilitation Therapy
The China-US Seminar on Graduate Program of Rehabilitation Therapy was held at Peking University Third Hospital (PUTH) on December 7. Over a hundred practitioners and students of rehabilitation medicine attended the event and heard from speakers from the University of Southern California (USC) on topics ranging from “USC-PUHSC graduate program of rehabilitation therapy”, “occupational therapy education in the US”, to “PhD education in occupational science”. On the domestic side, Prof Zhou Mouwang of PUTH and Prof Wang Ninghua of Peking University First Hospital spoke about the graduate program of rehabilitation therapy at PUHSC and continuing education of occupational therapists in Beijing. The speakers also responded to questions on student enrollment, training and graduation during the Q&A.
The PUHSC is home to the first pilot program of rehabilitation therapy in China, which started recruiting students earlier this year. The seminar was a follow-up event after the PKU and the USC signed agreement to carry out in-depth cooperation in the next 8 years.
