The clinical medicine graduate students who are admitted after passing the graduate entrance exam will study for five years, which is divided into two phases: phase one will take 3 years and phase two will take 2 years. The training policy for graduate students is “divisional continuous training, staged exam and selection, select the best one to join the second phase, study for a doctoral degree directly”. The graduate student will finish the first phase and take part in the staged exam. If he/she not only passes the exam but performs excellently, then he/she can start the second phase and study for a MD degree directly. If he/she just passes the exam, but is not eligible to join the second phase of study, then he/she can apply for a master’s of medicine degree. If the candidates fail the staged exam, he/she should stop the study.
Those students who already have a master degree and have been admitted after passing the doctor degree entrance exam should study for three years. The first year he/she need to make up the clinical practice training part according to individual conditions. The second and third year, they will be trained according to the second phase training schedule.
